Not surprisingly, Chef Julien was bitten by the culinary love bug very early on and was hooked by the time he was 14 years old. He spent all his summers working in restaurant kitchens, washing dishes, prepping ingredients, and falling in love with food.
The desire to learn all there is to know about food, infused with great depths of his passion, took him to London, Chicago, and Florida, where he mastered French cuisine, worked in some of the most acclaimed kitchens in Michelin starred restaurants, private homes and luxury yachts. But his true love was always the force of a powerful, high-energy kitchen and it wasn't long after launching Avocado Grill and Avocado Cantina that he set his sights on his latest masterpiece, Pink Steak. As a nod, or better yet, a kiss to his one true love, food, Chef Gremaud has rewritten the love story of what a steakhouse can be. Instead of dark, traditional interiors and a heavy, masculine feel, he envisioned a place that was bold, playful, and much softer and inclusive~where the food is just as exciting as the atmosphere.
