CONGRATULATIONS GPL

The 15th annual GPL International Gay Polo Tournament, sponsored by Lexus, will be held at Patagones Polo Club in Wellington, FL, from April 24-26. A highlight of the Palm Beach social season, the event features thrilling polo matches and lively social gatherings.

Beginning Friday night with the now famous GPL Polotini Presents Wigstock! Fundraiser, which benefits the Elton John AIDS Foundation, encouraging guests to wear fabulous wigs. Last year’s event raised well over $100,000.

Saturday’s tournament final begins at 1:00 pm, with viewing from the Cherry Knoll Farm VIP tent or the legendary tailgate competition. Entertainment includes the Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida, the South Florida Pride Marching Band, and Cheer Miami.

GPL founder Chip McKenney established the league in 2006 to promote diversity in polo. Chip and his organization have been recognized worldwide for their efforts in this sport. The league hosts international tournaments, including events in Chantilly, France, and Lexington, KY.
