Davidoff’s Year of the Horse Release

Saddle up and stroll—not gallop—into your favorite cigar shop, because Davidoff of Geneva is kicking off the 2026 Lunar New Year celebrations ahead of schedule.
Their annual Chinese-zodiac release has just begun shipping, and this year’s “Year of the Horse” lineup comes not only with limited-edition cigars, but an exquisitely crafted humidor to match.
This year, Davidoff ups the grandeur with a brand-new vitola: the Toro Especial. At 6 1⁄2" x 55, it’s a first for the brand comes as bold, impressive, and packaged in 10-count boxes priced at $65 per stick. And only 5,970 boxes are available in the USA. Inspired by the global diversity of horse breeds, the blend is built entirely from proprietary hybrid seeds, an Ecuadorian wrapper and binder wrapped around Dominican fillers. The tobaccos boast a combined 43 years of aging, and the profile is intentionally dialed in to medium body: elegant, balanced, and refined rather than overpowering.
For the collector who wants the rarest of the rare, there’s the Gran Toro, a 6" x 56 vitola available
exclusively
inside the Year of the Horse Masterpiece Humidor. Each humidor houses 88 Gran Toros and anchors the entire release as a true luxury centerpiece for a smoke blowing $50,000
