THE ICON REBORN

Live Beautifully

Few machines in automotive history command both reverence and pulse-quickening desire quite like the 1963 Corvette Split-Window Coupe. As the debut of the C2 generation, it marked a seismic shift for Corvette, from the soft, rounded charm of the ’50s to a silhouette that was sharper, bolder, and defiantly futuristic. Its bisected rear window polarized critics at the time but has since become one of the most recognizable and coveted elements in American car design.

Power matched beauty: lightweight fiberglass, purposeful aerodynamics, and a choice of muscular small-block V8s gave the Split-Window real athleticism. Inside, the cockpit enveloped the driver in aircraft-inspired gauges and sculptural lines, making the experience feel more jet fighter than automobile. And because the split window lived for only a single model year, its rarity elevated it from collectible to cultural artifact.

Combing the landscapes, barns and warehouses across America is Heartland Customs, the Oklahoma-based artisans rewriting what a classic Corvette can be. Their acclaimed ‘SPECVETTE’ program takes the sacred geometry of vintage Corvettes and infuses them with modern supercar engineering.

Every element is obsessively crafted: triple-plated chrome, new hardware throughout, DOT-approved glass, and interiors wrapped in European leathers with hidden fasteners and bespoke electronics. Custom gauges preserve vintage charm while offering contemporary precision. Underneath the body lines lives a thoroughly modern soul: a bespoke chassis, independent suspension borrowed from today’s performance machines, upgraded brakes, rack-and-pinion steering, and modern, high-output engines that deliver smooth, confident power. We know Corvette enthusiasts love the looks and style of the classic models but demand modern performance and comforts. We’ve spent years designing and engineering a line of custom, classic models built to perform at a supercar level with the reliability that today’s drivers are accustomed to”, says owner Jeff Page.

Recent auction results of Heartland retromods have exceeded $600,000, making it one of the most talked about builds ever offered.
